Our Aim
Founded in 2006 with the aim and intention of acquiring mines in South Africa not only for the commercial benefit of mining local commodity.
Economic Growth
But more importantly for the long term economic growth and influence that the mines will have on the local communities in the regions where mining takes place by Lethabo Exploration.
Community Development
This is being achieved through job creation, skills development and training, infrastructure development and by means of abiding to the legislated financial obligation that mines in South Africa have towards the surrounding communities, in mining areas, thus contributing towards eradicating poverty.
Our Mines
Currently at Lethabo Exploration we hold three mines in our portfolio. Two of the mines are based in northern South Africa in the province of Limpopo, with the third mine in the province of Mpumalanga in eastern South Africa.
Our Minerals
Collectively the mines fall on land where seven different minerals have been identified including platinum group minerals. While two of Lethabo Exploration’s sister companies, hold portfolios of coal in Limpopo, and manganese in the North-West Province.
